Osaze Urhoghide

Osaze Urhoghide's route to FC Dallas began far from Nigeria, on the youth pitches of AFC Wimbledon, where he signed his first professional contract before being released in 2019. Sheffield Wednesday picked him up on a free transfer that year, and he repaid the move by being named the club's Player of the Month in February 2021, a run of form that persuaded Celtic to sign him for a compensation fee of around £150,000 that summer.

Celtic registered him for their 2021–22 title-winning squad, but he never made a first-team appearance, spending the season out on loan at KV Oostende. In 2023 he joined Amiens SC on a three-year deal, where he made 41 appearances and scored three goals, though his time in France was also marked by criticism of his performances and a red card against SC Bastia in August 2024.

FC Dallas signed him from Amiens in February 2025 for a reported €3 million, the highest fee the club has ever paid for a defender and the third-highest in its history. In his debut MLS season he was named FC Dallas Defender of the Year and earned a place in the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Matchday in October 2025 after scoring the opening goal against Vancouver Whitecaps. Despite that form, and having trained with Nigeria's U23 squad back in 2019, he has yet to win a senior cap.
