Ran Benjamin

Ran Benjamin arrived at FC Dallas. Before his move to Major League Soccer, he had already lifted a trophy with the Israel U-20 side, taking bronze at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina after Israel beat South Korea 3-1 in the third-place match. He made six appearances and scored once during that run.

His form for that generation of Israeli youth teams carried across age groups. Benjamin also featured for the U-19 side at the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and has gone on to collect nine caps and three goals for the Israel U-21 team in UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifiers. The underage record explains why his transfer drew attention.

At club level, Benjamin made his name with Hapoel Tel Aviv. In the 2024-25 season he was a regular in midfield, making 34 appearances and contributing seven goals and seven assists as the club won the Liga Leumit title and secured promotion to the Israeli Premier League. That campaign, delivered in Israel's second tier, was enough to persuade FC Dallas to sign him on a contract running through the 2028-29 season. He has also had a spell with Maccabi Haifa, another of Israeli football's leading clubs, though the details of that stint are less well documented than his time at Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Now wearing FC Dallas colours, Benjamin steps into MLS as a player still building his senior résumé.
