About the player
Sandro Steiner spent his early years in the youth system of SV Mattersburg before moving to the Admira Wacker Mödling academy in September 2016, working his way up through the club's U15, U16 and U18 sides. He signed a young-professional contract in August 2024 and was promoted to the senior squad together with Christopher Olsa and Dion Nela.
Steiner spent the 2024/25 season with Admira Wacker II, scoring 12 goals in 37 appearances in the Landesliga. He made his professional debut for the first team in the 2. Liga in October 2025, coming on as a substitute against First Vienna FC. Two months later he was handed his first competitive start, against Kapfenberger SV, a game Admira won 6-1.
The club extended his contract until the summer of 2028 in January 2026.
Born in Lilienfeld, Steiner operates as an attacking midfielder and now wears the number 16 shirt for Admira Wacker.
