Rodrigo Nahuel Amaral Pereira grew up in the Carabelas FC youth ranks before moving into Nacional's academy, where he made his senior debut in 2015 and won the Uruguayan Primera División that season and again in 2016.
A loan to Racing Club in Argentina brought little playing time, limited to a single appearance, and he returned to Nacional for a second spell before leaving for Centro Atlético Fénix in 2021, where he scored four goals in around 37 matches across two stints.
Amaral made 26 appearances and scored six goals before departing in July that year. He then returned to Uruguay for a short spell at Plaza Colonia, went back to Bolivia for a longer stint at Jorge Wilstermann between mid-2023 and the end of 2024, and later turned out for Montevideo Wanderers, Oriente Petrolero and Deportivo LSM.
Despite years of playing club football in Bolivia, Amaral has never been capped by the senior Bolivia national team, his international experience remaining confined to Uruguay's youth categories.
