Fallujah's biggest club sprang up in 2004 to give the city a proper football home alongside its basketball and volleyball sections, known simply as Al-Jolan, with no nickname to speak of and no website beyond social media. That changed in the 2025–26 season, when Anmar Salam's side won the Iraqi Premier Division League for the first time and took the club into the Iraq Stars League for the first time in its history. The promotion push carried a signature of its own: Alaa Mhawi, a former Iraq international, arrived from Diyala FC, and the squad has since taken on a distinctly international look, with Yemeni, Senegalese, Mauritanian and Ghanaian players brought in for the step up to the top flight. Jassim Al-Asal chairs the club through that transition.

The Stars League placed Al-Jolan alongside Al-Karma SC, from the neighbouring district of the same name, and the fixture between them has quickly picked up a label of its own, the Al-Anbar Derby, as Al-Karma also plays its home games at Al-Jolan Stadium. Founded in 2004, white shirts and green shorts have yet to see a first Stars League title or an Iraq FA Cup, so the promotion remains the club's one entry in the record books.

Home is Al-Fallujah Stadium, known locally as Al-Jolan Stadium, holding some 7,000 people in a city that will watch its team test itself against Iraq's best for the first time.
