The fixture Leno Women mark on the calendar is the one against Pallamano Cassano Magnago, the so-called Derby lombardo, a meeting of the province of Brescia against the province of Milan. It has not gone their way lately: a 32-19 defeat in February 2025 and a Coppa Italia quarter-final exit in February 2026.

The club has spent most of its life moving between Serie A1 and Serie A2 rather than settling in either. Promotion first came in 2018, after winning Serie A2 Girone A, and the following season in the top flight ended with survival in ninth place. Relegation followed in 2022, after a twelfth-place finish. In 2024, under coach Leonardo Sartori, Leno finished second in the Final Six playoffs in Chieti.

Captain Sara Andreani came up through the Leno youth ranks and has played for the Italian under-17 side; Erika Bigolin, on the U-19 team, followed the same path. That reliance on home-grown players sits alongside the odd exception, such as the signing of French international Laeticia Ateba for the 2025/2026 season.

The team plays in yellow and blue at the Handball Arena, a 200-seat venue rebuilt in 2019 to bring it up to Serie A1 standard. Founded in 2002, the club has had to compete against better-funded sides with a fraction of their resources, and the Lombardy derby with Cassano Magnago remains the match by which a season in Leno is measured.
