Strakonice Women

Tomáš Nejdl grew up in the Strakonice academy, moved on to win the Czech Extraliga with Talent Plzeň, and in 2021 was named Sportsperson of Strakonice District.

The women's section belongs to HBC Strakonice 1921, part of the wider TJ ČZ Strakonice sports club, and the founding year sits in the name itself rather than needing a separate mention. The team once played in the top-tier Extraliga but stepped back from that level around 2022 or 2023 and now competes in the second tier, the 2. liga žen for the Bohemia region, alongside the Czech Cup. The men's side, by contrast, still plays in the Chance Extraliga.

Markéta Jeřábková and Iveta Korešová both wore the national team shirt while connected to the club. Matěj Harant now manages the women's team alongside Martin Harant. Home games are played in black and white at the Oblouková hala on Máchova street.
