UP Olomouc Women

Whenever the schedule brings the Moravian derby, the men and women of Olomouc handball prepare for HC PSG Zlín. It is the fixture that still carries weight in a competition.

The club traces itself back to 1919. The Zoračky nickname belongs to an era when the team stood among the strongest in the country: a Czechoslovak title in 1967, then, after the country split, three Czech First Division championships in 2003, 2004 and 2008.

Home games are played at the Sportovní hala UP in Lazce, and it holds up to 3,000 when the away end from Zlín makes the trip worthwhile.

UP Olomouc, as the club is now known, plays in blue and white and continues to work through Czech league football with the derby against Zlín the fixture that still draws the sharpest attention from its supporters.
