The Avtokomanda Sports Hall sits in the Avtokomanda district of Skopje. The venue is the home of RK Metalurg Skopje and the women’s side, ŽRK Metalurg Skopje, a pair of handball clubs that have played here since the arena was built. The club was founded in 1971 and moved into this hall after years in smaller venues, though the exact date of the construction is not clear. The name 'Avtokomanda' comes from the district itself, and the hall has never carried a sponsor’s name.

The capacity varies in reports, with figures ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 seats; the higher numbers often belong to the larger Jane Sandanski Arena in the same city. There is no separate website for the venue itself, only the club’s address at ul. Jane Lukrovski 6.
