Ballsporthalle Ferlach
Ferlach, Austria
The Ballsporthalle Ferlach stands as a compact, purpose-built arena in the south of Austria. It opened its doors in 1979, and it has served as the heartbeat of SC Ferlach ever since.
What sets this hall apart is not grandeur but utility. It sits between the quiet streets of Carinthia and the intense, fast-paced world of indoor handball. The men’s team, known in recent years by sponsored names like SC kelag Ferlach, has turned the wooden floor into a fortress.
The facility also breathes differently for other sports. International women’s futsal tournaments bring a different rhythm to the hall, while local communities gather here for annual futsal events. It is not just a stadium for matches; it is a community hub, hosting public viewings for local heroes like Olympic speed skater Vanessa Herzog.
