Stadium
Estádio do Buraco
Lobito, Angola
The name Estádio do Buraco — literally the Hole Stadium — is used by Académica Petróleos do Lobito , which plays in the Bairro Santa Cruz district of Lobito, Angola.
The stadium opened in the 1970s and has seen two major rebuilds since, one in 2007 and another in 2010 before the Africa Cup of Nations. It has hosted no national team matches, no Girabola finals — those belong to larger venues in Luanda.
A flooding event in March 2015 did more than damage the pitch. Dozens of lives were lost in Lobito that day, and the club has used the memory as a warning about the stadium's vulnerability.
The capacity is disputed. Some sources say 3,000, others 5,000, a few 15,000.
This is not a legendary ground.
