The ground sits at the edge of the village. Before that reconstruction, football had been played here since the immediate post-war years.

The space is modest. The municipality has maintained the site through specific grants, most notably a 2020 award from the COOP Jednota Foundation for renovation and mobile seating.

The most visible footprint of professional football came on August 25, 2021, when FC Okoličná na Ostrove hosted a Slovnaft Cup tie against KFC Komárno. A more balanced encounter followed in July 2021, ending in a 1–1 draw with TJ Družstevník Veľké Ludince.

There is no official attendance record kept for the venue, nor is there a publicised figure for the largest crowd to ever watch a game here. The highest confirmed number is 70, recorded for a women’s league match in August 2024. The facility serves primarily as a home for FC Okoličná na Ostrove, with occasional use by KFC Komárno B and the women’s team when schedules allow.
