Hala MOSiR "Olimpia"

Hala Sportowa MOSiR Olimpia operates as the central hub for indoor sport in the city, hosting local competitions and community gatherings. It serves primarily as the home ground for the handball club **MKS Olimpia Piekary Śląskie**, which has previously competed under the sponsored name **MKS Olimpia Medex Piekary Śląskie**. The hall also accommodates table tennis events.

The interior features a wooden parquet floor, which the local handball club refers to as their "own parquet," providing a consistent surface for play. The venue can seat 1,500 spectators, a figure confirmed by **Europlan Online**. Recent maintenance includes a roof insulation and waterproofing project completed in 2022 to address water leakage. The hall is managed by the **Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji w Piekarach Śląskich** (**MOSiR**), with contact details and operational information available through the main **mosir.piekary.pl** portal. Beyond sport, the facility hosts community events, including Children's Day celebrations. The exact year of construction remains unknown, but the hall continues to serve the local population through its varied programming.
