Hala Sportowa w Rudce

The Hala Sportowa im. Dariusza Michalskiego is not a football ground in the traditional sense. It is a school hall in the village of Rudka, Podlaskie Voivodeship, where the local handball team plays its home matches. The building sits within the grounds of the Krzysztof Kluk Agricultural Education Center School Complex, which dates back to 1959. The hall itself was opened in September 2000 and covers nearly 3,500 square meters. It is used for various indoor sports, including basketball and volleyball, but it is the handball side that has brought it into the wider regional picture.

The hall was renamed on October 15, 2017, in honour of Dariusz Michalski. The capacity is unclear, with one document mentioning 200 seats, but the text is not fully accessible and the figure cannot be confirmed. The playing surface is not specified. What is clear is the venue's role in the community. On March 1, 2025, a charity handball match drew a complete house, raising over 13,000 złoty for a local player's medical treatment. A second charity event followed on March 14, 2026, for another player's heart surgery. These matches are not part of any national league campaign, but they have drawn local support.

The team, SPR SBR Bank Nowe Piekuty, gained promotion to the 1st league in 2023, which brought games to this hall more regularly. The hall is situated at ul. Ossolińskich 1, near the edge of the village. It is a local hall, used by a local club, and occasionally by the wider community. The reason for writing about it is that it is the only sports hall in the village dedicated to indoor team sports, and it has served the area for over two decades.
