Hala Sportowa ZST

The Sports Hall of the ZST 'Seventy' at Aleja Jana Kilińskiego 4 in Płock is defined by its history as much as its function. The building dates to 1952, when the Technical School Complex settled into this site, and the nickname 'Siedemdziesiątka' reflects a legacy of training specialists for nearly eight decades. It is not a cathedral, but the school has kept its traditions, which is why the hall remains a fixture in the local sports calendar.

The interior surface is wooden, a standard 'parkiet' that is worn down by decades of activity rather than replaced. The space hosts teams like ORLEN Wisła II Płock, where the wooden floor provides a consistent, if quiet, environment for handball. Recent work has focused on the building’s envelope: a roof modernization was completed in 2021, and a new rainwater and sanitary sewerage system was installed to stop the basements from flooding, a practical fix for an older structure. The thermal improvements to the gymnasium are still in progress, with completion planned for June 2026.

There is no separate website for the hall; the information is folded into the school's own site, which is perhaps fitting for a venue that operates more like a department of the school than a commercial arena. It is not a destination for tourism, but for the local community it serves as a reliable venue for events like the 'Turniej Mistrzyń 2026', where the capacity was briefly restricted to 300 spectators for organizational reasons. The building has lived through many seasons, and it continues to do so.
