The building at ul. Braci Mieroszewskich 91 carries itself like a local anchor rather than a monument. The exterior is painted in two distinct bands: mustard yellow on the lower section and a pale green above, dominated by a large advertisement for Lafarge, a cement manufacturer. The roof slopes sharply, ending in a dark metal trim that runs the length of the facade. A tall, thin antenna rises from the peak, crowded with signal equipment.

The entrance is recessed behind a concrete staircase, flanked by metal railings. People walk along the paved area in front, some heading towards the glass doors, others waiting near the bus stop on the right. A blue pedestrian crossing sign stands sentinel on a pole near the yellow wall. Graffiti is visible on the lower green section, including the words "Lepiej Wydaje" (Better Payout), which suggests the building is open to local commerce beyond sport.

Inside, the space transforms into a wide, flat arena. The floor is polished wood, reflecting the overhead lights. Rows of seating rise steeply on either side, packed with spectators for an event. In the centre, a stage is set up with lighting rigs, suggesting the hall hosts more than just games. There is a mix of activity: some people are seated watching a performance, while others are gathered around tables with laptops, perhaps journalists or officials managing an event. The ceiling is high, with exposed metal beams running across the span.

The hall has seen changes. It was opened in 1981 by the Czerwone Zagłębie Coal Mine and has been managed by MOSiR since 1997. It seats 630 people. The floor is parquet, suitable for basketball or handball, though the youth team KS Górnik Sosnowiec also uses it. It is not the largest hall in Sosnowiec; there is another at ul. Żeromskiego 4c with a capacity of 1,400 that hosts the senior basketball club Zagłębie Sosnowiec. This one feels smaller, more intimate. The fans here are closer to the action, whether they are watching a boxing match or a game of handball.
