Humber Doucy Lane

Ipswich, United Kingdom

Formerly: SEH Sports Ground

Humber Doucy Lane sits on the quiet edge of Rushmere. The ground has always been where Ipswich Wanderers play.

The pitch is natural grass. Capacity is modest, with Europlan-Online suggesting a tighter limit of 550, though the official record for a Suffolk Premier Cup semi-final against Ipswich Town XI in 2006–07 stands at 550. The seated area is small, leaving most supporters to stand on the terraces, a setup that has served the club through its most successful periods.

There is a history of big days here. The 2006–07 FA Vase run saw the club beat Long Melford 11–0. More recently, the ground hosted a testimonial for Mark Goldfinch in July 2023, where Leiston FC proved too strong, winning 4–1. The venue has been known by different names over the years, including SEH Sports Ground, before GBS Builders took the naming rights in April 2024. The club’s work to meet Step 4 grading requirements in 2023 was heavy, but the result is a facility ready for the next stage of their development.
