Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium
Kuwait City, Kuwait
Formerly: Kuwait International Stadium, Sheikh Jaber Stadium, Jaber Stadium
The Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium does not sit quietly in the Ardiya district. It is a place that has been locked down twice, later by the authorities. The structure was completed in 2009 and opened in 2010. It was closed in 2011 after failing structural-integrity testing. The stadium did not reopen until December 18, 2015, following renovations.
When the French Super Cup landed there on January 9, 2026. Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille drew before PSG won on penalties. The pitch is natural grass, and the surface has seen the Bahrain vs. Oman final at the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup, where 60,122 people turned out in January.
The stadium is not a local club's home. It is the venue for the Kuwait national football team and the Emir Cup. When the 2010 AFC Cup Final was held here, 58,604 people saw Al-Qadsia play Al-Ittihad. The ground is managed by the Kuwait Football Association, not a private owner. There is no independent website for the venue itself.
The building has a capacity that is rarely filled. It opened in 2010, but the public did not trust it until 2015. The stadium hosted the 2018 Emir Cup Final, where Al-Kuwait SC beat Al-Arabi SC 3–0.
