Katzir Hall
Holon, Israel
Katzir Hall sits quietly in the Kiryat Rabin district of Holon, tucked away at 20 Yitzhak Rabin Boulevard. It is not a football ground, nor does it pretend to be one. This is an indoor arena defined by its purpose: the steady home for the Holon Handball Club and the school’s own teams.
The name honours Efraim Katzir, a scientist and former President of Israel, rather than the dairy brand. The capacity is modest—700 seats—enough to keep the atmosphere intimate. There are no grandstands that stretch into the sky, only rows packed tight during the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix Holon. The exact year it opened is lost to the archives, but the hall was already hosting international events by 2013. It has never changed its name; it has always been Katzir Hall.
It is part of the Efraim Katzir Gymnasium complex, operated by the Holon Company for Entertainment and Leisure. The attendance record is not a matter of public record, nor is it meant to be. This is not a monument to the past, but a working space for the present.
