The Lusail Stadium is a prominent landmark in Qatar.
It continued to stage finals, including the 2023 AFC Asian Cup and the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final between Real Madrid and Pachuca. The pitch is natural grass, though it was patched with a temporary piece of artificial turf during the World Cup Final to smooth out unevenness; the permanent surface remains natural.
The seating stands at its full capacity of 88,966. The original plan was to remove the upper tier and bring the number down to 40,000, with the empty seats to be donated to other nations, but that reduction had not been carried out by late 2025. The Qatar national football team uses the ground as its home venue, though no permanent club tenant is based here.
