McLaren Enclosed Ground

McLaren Enclosed Ground sits on a slope in East Brighton Park, built into the hillside of the South Downs. The site has been used for sport since before the football club arrived; the pitch was shared with the East Brighton Cricket Club as early as 1890. The ground's appearance is defined by the terrain rather than grand architecture. A steep bank rises on the east side, while the playing surface itself slopes noticeably from south to north.

The club began on these council pitches in 1945, originally playing as 'Whitehawk & Manor Farm Old Boys'. That history is visible in the simple layout, which has grown around the natural contours rather than flattening them. Floodlights were added later to meet league standards, with significant redevelopment taking place around 2010 to support the club's move to the Isthmian League. The official capacity is 3,126, though the figure is sometimes listed as 2,000 depending on the source.

The most famous day at the ground came in the 2015–16 season. Whitehawk defeated Lincoln City 5–3 in the FA Cup First Round Proper, a match broadcast live on BT Sport. The record attendance of 2,174 was set during an FA Cup Replay against Dagenham & Redbridge on 16 December 2015. The club has also hosted FA Vase matches, including a semi-final in 2009–10.

There are no records of concerts or non-football events at the venue. The ground has not undergone any major relocations, only changing its name for sponsorship purposes. The pitch remains natural grass, and the ground is owned by Brighton & Hove City Council.
