Multiarena

Ølstykke, Denmark

On the map

The project has been a slow build. The tender for the construction went out in September 2025. The arena sits at the northern end of the Ølstykke Idrætsområde, facing Frederikssundsvej. The plan is for an inauguration in March 2028, following the start of building works in spring 2026.

The design is straightforward. It will feature a main hall suitable for handball and badminton, with facilities for television broadcasting and a small cafeteria. The budget sits at 110 million DKK, with a significant portion—50 million DKK—donated by the Rasmussen family. The location is specific: it is not the MultiArena in Herning or the one in Vellinge, Sweden. It is simply the new home for Ølstykke’s indoor sports.
