Oranim Sports Hall

The Oranim Sports Hall sits inside the Oranim School in Ramat HaSharon. It opened in 1998 at 22 Arlozorov Street and has never been called anything else. The building holds a FIBA-approved wooden basketball court measuring 28 by 15 metres.

Capacity figures for the hall have shifted depending on which source is consulted. Sports ticketing platforms Score366 and BsportsFan list the figure at 770 spectators, while Grokipedia reports 900. The Hebrew Wikipedia article for Ramat HaSharon cites the highest number, 1,200 seats, and the 247 News Agency mentions up to 1,000.

The venue serves two primary clubs: A.S. Ramat HaSharon, a men's handball team that has competed in the Israeli Men's Division 1 since 1954, and A.S. Ramat HaSharon, a professional women's basketball team in the Israeli Women's Basketball Premier League. That basketball side has won the Israel Championship and the State Cup six times each.

International fixtures have passed through the hall. During the 2023-2024 season the basketball team played in the FIBA EuroCup Women against MB Zagłębie Sosnowiec and Lattes Montpellier. The handball team featured in the EHF European Cup, notably against Swiss side Pfadi Winterthur in November 2022.

The most notable disruption occurred in November 2010 when the women's basketball team, then known as Electra Ramat HaSharon, was locked out of the hall by city authorities following a dispute between the coach and the mayor. There is no record of any major renovation, though one source mentions a general urban renewal plan for the city approved in 2024.
