Palau d'Esports de Granollers
Granollers, Spain
The Palau d'Esports de Granollers is a functional building. You do not need to be inside to understand the function of the place. It is a reminder of the ground's multipurpose use that extends beyond the main arena.
Inside, the air must feel different. The building has a wooden parquet floor laid over concrete, a surface that keeps the ball true for the teams that call it home.
BM Granollers play their matches on the indoor court, moving through the Liga Asobal, while the women's side, KH-7 Balonmano Granollers, competes in the top flight at home. It hosted the final of the 2021 Women's Handball World Championship, a tournament that brought the world's best players to Catalonia.
