The Red Hall in Velenje sits on a parquet floor that covers 1,600 square metres. The local clubs, RK Gorenje Velenje and ŽRK Velenje, call it home, and the Slovenian national handball team has used it for preparation.

The interior is arranged with gallery seating alongside ground floor rows, holding a total of 2,500 spectators. The venue hosted the EHF Handball Euro 2004 tournament.

The facility is managed by the Športno rekreacijski zavod Rdeča dvorana, which also runs the nearby Ob Jezeru City Stadium.

The parquet floor is the constant, a surface that has seen generations of players take to it since 1975.
