Športna dvorana Trebnje

Športna dvorana Trebnje sits at the centre of a town that has watched its own infrastructure change over decades. The building opened in 1981 as a school gymnasium, and for forty years it held the same wooden parquet floor and 800 seats while RK Trimo Trebnje played their handball matches there. The reconstruction finished in December 2025. The project kept the original eastern exterior wall but added a new northern stand with 500 seats. The main hall shares the site with a smaller training room upstairs and a fitness area. The highest known turnout for a game inside the new doors was 1,500 spectators during a match between Slovenia and Kuwait in January 2026. The address remains Kidričeva ulica 11, though the building no longer feels like a simple school hall. It hosts basketball and volleyball as well as handball, and occasionally cultural events.
