Umuganda Stadium
Gisenyi (Rubavu), Rwanda
The stadium was refurbished by the Rwanda Housing Authority to host the 2016 African Nations Championship. The pitch is covered in artificial turf. It is currently the home ground for Etincelles FC and Marines F.C. , both sides in the Rwandan Premier League.
The first major event held here after the renovation was the tournament in January 2016. On January 26, Guinea eliminated Nigeria from the competition with a 1–0 victory. The Quarter-Final between Guinea and Zambia ended 0–0, with Guinea winning on penalties.
Beyond football, the ground hosts local cultural events. On December 31, 2022, it was the location for the Erica's Gisenyi Festival, featuring performances by artists such as Orchestre Impala de Kigali, Eric Senderi, and Kenny Sol.
