Angers — Anglet: 6:1, Ligue Magnus

Angers secured a comprehensive 6:1 victory over Anglet in the Magnus League on Thursday evening. The result leaves the hosts two points clear of the bottom while Anglet remain winless after three matches.

Angers have won their last two fixtures, beating Amiens 3:2 and Gap 5:2 before that one defeat to Grenoble. Anglet have lost all three games this season, falling to Chamonix 2:4 and Nice 2:3 in their most recent outings.

The visitors have struggled to find any rhythm away from home. They managed a victory against Chamonix in April but have not won since their last trip in April.

Angers sit seventh with two wins from three games. They have not yet accumulated points in the standings but have shown enough to suggest they fancy their chances of climbing higher.

Anglet's run of defeats extends to three matches. They sit twelfth in the table with nothing to show for their opening series. Cup football has its own rules, but this league campaign is already difficult.

The hosts have extended their unbeaten run to eight matches across all competitions. That consistency is what separates them from the teams at the bottom of the table.
