Basel — Arosa: 5:2, Swiss League

Basel beat Arosa 5:2 in the Swiss League on Saturday evening. The hosts took all three points at home, extending their advantage at the top of the table. Arosa's away record continues to struggle.

The match opened with Basel pressing forward, and they soon found their rhythm. Arosa tried to stay compact but couldn't contain the pressure. By then the visitors were reacting rather than dictating. The first goal came from Basel, and the momentum never really shifted back.

Arosa pulled one back to keep things interesting, but Basel responded quickly. The visitors let the tie slip after that, unable to find a way back into the game. And here's the thing — it wasn't just the scoreline that told the story. Basel controlled the tempo throughout.

We had backed the home side before kick-off, and the result confirmed that call. Seven in ten we were right, and the match played out much as we expected. Basel showed enough quality to see off a determined opposition.

Basel remain first with eight games played. Arosa sit eighth after six matches. The gap between them is widening, and the visitors are running out of games to turn things around.
