Djurgården — Orebro HK: 2:1, SHL

Djurgarden took a 2:1 victory over Orebro HK in the SHL on Thursday. The result keeps Djurgarden 13th and Orebro 9th, with both sides still on 0 points. It was a tight affair on the ice, decided by fine margins.

To be fair, the standings are confusing. Djurgarden have 1 win and 5 losses after 6 games. Orebro HK have 2 wins and 4 losses, sitting 9th. Both sides lost their last match, 2:4 and 1:4 respectively.

And here's the thing, you don't win games like this by dominating possession. The hosts dug in defensively, forcing Orebro to work for every inch. By then, the visitors had tired legs and fewer clear chances. It wasn't pretty, but it was efficient. Djurgarden took their opportunities when they appeared, while the away side failed to capitalise on their spurned chances.

Recent form offers little comfort. Djurgarden managed a 4:3 win against Växjö Lakers earlier, but consistency has been absent. Orebro HK showed promise with a 3:0 victory over Skellefteå AIK, yet they couldn't hold that momentum. The search for points continues for both teams.
