Füssen take all three on the road
Erding and Füssen met in the Oberliga South on September 18th, and the visitors took the match 4-2. The result puts Füssen on top of the early table while Erding sit in tenth with nothing to show for their opening game.
It was a straightforward evening for the away side. They took control and never let go, which is how you play when you want to hold every card. The final scoreline reflects a comfortable performance.
Erding come off a run of results that looked promising on paper — seven wins and two losses across five games in February. But the last meeting between these sides ended 2-4 in Füssen's favour, and this time around the visitors improved on that.
We had given Erding the edge in our preview, offering 53 per cent confidence for a home win. The match went the other way, and the visitors simply turned it around after the break. By then the momentum had shifted.
Füssen's recent form showed flashes of quality — a 5-2 win over Hochstadt Alligators, a 4-2 victory against Bayreut, and a 2-0 clean sheet at Lindau. They carried that energy into the opening round.
The table now reads with Füssen in fourth place on three points from one game, while Erding remain on zero after their defeat. Nothing decisive yet, but early results set the tone.
