Huttwil — Wetzikon: 4:1, MySports League

Huttwil beat Wetzikon 4:1 in the MySports League on Wednesday evening. The hosts have now won five of their six games and remain at the summit of the table. Wetzikon sit seventh after four wins and two defeats.

The result keeps Huttwil's position at the head of the standings intact. They lost their last outing 2:4 against Freshan-Montagne, then bounced back with three straight wins before this match. Wetzikon have been more consistent lately, winning four of their last five before falling to 1:3 against Zeewen on 23 September. By then they had already shown they could string together results, and this afternoon they could not match the pace.

We had backed the home win at 65 per cent confidence, and the prediction held up. Huttwil had nothing to lose after that opening defeat, and they ran the show from the first period. Wetzikon held their own in the early exchanges but could not sustain the pressure when the game opened up.

The goal difference now sits at plus-three for Huttwil and minus-one for Wetzikon after six games each. Both sides have collected zero points despite the different win totals, which means the table remains tight at the top.
