Ilves Tampere secured a 2:0 victory over Lukko in the Liiga on Tuesday evening, extending their recent run of positive results. The Finnish club played away in Rauma on September first, taking all three points from the contest.

The result adds to Ilves' momentum while Lukko continue to search for answers. By then, the pattern was clear enough — the visitors had nothing to lose and found a way through when it mattered most.
What stands out is not the scoreline itself but the contrast in trajectory. Lukko need the points badly to turn things around, while Ilves have shown they can deliver under pressure away from home.
