Sparta Prague — Vítkovice: 3:0, Extraliga

Sparta Prague beat Vitkovice 3:0 in the Czech Extraliga on Sunday, 11 October 2026. The hosts ran out comfortable winners at home, closing out a match where the result was clear from the first period. The away side left Prague with nothing to show for their efforts.

We had called for a home win beforehand, and the 64 per cent confidence held up. Sparta Prague did not need to search for openings — they took them when they appeared. By then the visitors were already on the back foot, and the gap only widened.

The result keeps both sides in the lower half of the table. Sparta Prague sit ninth after eight games with three wins and five defeats, still on zero points. Vitkovice remain twelfth after seven matches, also with zero points after two victories and five losses.

Recent form does not look kind for either side. Sparta Prague lost three of their last five, including a 3:4 defeat to Brno on Thursday and a heavy 4:6 loss to Pardubice. Vitkovice have also struggled, falling 2:3 to Pardubice and 0:3 to Karlovy Vary in their two most recent outings.

What mattered on Sunday was how the home side handled their chances. They did not let the away team build momentum, and once the lead was established the game settled into a rhythm Sparta Prague controlled. The visitors never got going, and that is the story of the match.
