Switzerland Women — Czech Republic W: 3:2, EHT Finland - Women

Switzerland women secured a 3:2 victory over Czech Republic in the European Hockey Tournament in Finland on Friday. The match took place on October 3rd, 2026, with the hosts taking all three points despite a difficult campaign so far. To be fair, both sides have struggled since the tournament opened.

Switzerland sit third in the standings after three games—one win, no draws, two losses. Czech Republic sit fourth with zero points from three defeats. By then, the gap between them was narrowing, though neither side had much to celebrate.

The visitors had lost their opening two matches before this fixture, first 0:2 to Finland and then 0:5 to Sweden. Switzerland came into the game off a 1:4 defeat to Finland the day before. So it was a chance for both teams to find something positive.

What the result means on the table is worth noting. Switzerland remain unbeaten against Czech Republic in recent history—this goes back to February when they drew 3:4 in another tournament meeting. The standings have not changed dramatically, but momentum matters in these short competitions.
