Sheldon Rempal has picked up a 20-million-rouble bonus from Salavat Yulaev for reaching a single point in the 2026/27 KHL regular season, according to Biznes Online.
The Canadian Forward met the target in the opening game of the campaign. On 5 September, in a 3:2 win over Severstal, he set up two goals. That was enough to trigger the payment written into his contract.
His season salary now rises from 70 million roubles to 90 million. A further 20 million is on offer if he finishes the regular season among the KHL's top three scorers.
Rempal signed a one-year extension with Salavat Yulaev on 4 June. He closed last season with 46 points (15 goals, 31 assists) in 38 games in the FONBET championship, adding 8 points (3+5) in 10 play-off matches.
