Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has signed a two-year contract extension through to the end of the 2028/29 season, general manager Kelly McCrimmon announced. The deal carries an average annual value of $9 million.
Stone, 34, joined Vegas from Ottawa and has played 400 regular-season games for the club, putting up 396 points (136 goals, 260 assists) at a plus-112 rating. Last season he matched his career-best scoring total, with 73 points (28+45) in 60 games.
The extension follows a busy week of roster business for Vegas. The club signed forward Braden Boumann, 23, to a six-year deal worth $3.4 million a year starting in 2027/28, after the rookie posted 26 points in his first NHL season.
