Valery Belov: KHL Should Bring Back Three-Point System
Former Russia head coach Valery Belov argues the KHL should restore the three-point system, saying a clean win shouldn't count the same as a shootout victory.
"Ilya Vorobyov has already said that the KHL needs to bring back the three-point system. And I think there's something in that. A clean win and a win in a shootout are not the same thing. I think clubs have of course been levelled out through the introduction of the salary floor and ceiling, but the league needs to keep moving in that direction. As an option, the league could bring back the three-point system. In my view, it's fairer," Belov said.
