Dmitry Vasilyev, the two-times Olympic biathlon champion, has weighed in on the decision to bar Washington captain Alexander Ovechkin from entering Latvia.
"When a mosquito lands on a person, it thinks it is master of the situation and that something depends on it. But if you swat it with your palm, nothing wet will be left of it. This situation can be compared to republics such as Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania. Nothing depends on them, and you cannot even see them under a microscope. But they need to try by every means to make it look as if the Earth actually revolves at their will," said Dmitry Vasilyev.
