The American defenceman, in his first KHL season with Torpedo, says Alexander Ovechkin helped him fall in love with Russia and praised Malkin from Penguins camp.
Scooter Bricky, the American defenceman at Torpedo, says Washington forward Alexander Ovechkin was one of the reasons he moved to Russia.
Bricky signed a one-year contract with Torpedo in July 2026. He is playing his first season in the Fonbet KHL Championship.
"Ovechkin is a big name. He is one of the best players in the world for his age, and he definitely inspired me to come here and fall in love with Russia," Bricky said. "I also spoke with Malkin when I was at the Penguins training camp. I spent a lot of time with the team, training, and I can say he is a really good guy."
