A. Shubin

Aleksandr Shubin's path to Veles ran through a string of free transfers rather than a single big move. He came up through Rubin Kazan's reserve and under-19 sides, where he spent three years and built a modest scoring record before leaving the club without a fee attached. From there he went to FK Znamya Noginsk, then, only months later, to Znamya Truda, where a short run of nine appearances brought two goals and two assists — his most productive stretch before joining Veles in July 2023.

Since arriving at Veles, Shubin has been part of a side that has kept winning: the club took the Russian Second League Division A title in three straight seasons and pushed into the promotion play-offs for the First League. He has not been singled out individually in that run, but he has been on the books for all three championships.

Internationally, his experience is limited to a brief call-up to Russia's under-17 side, when he made two appearances during a tournament in Serbia in December 2019. He scored in a 3-3 draw against Serbia's under-17 team and featured again in a 2-0 defeat to the same opponents. There has been no senior recognition since.

At 175cm and right-footed, Shubin operates as a midfielder.
