About the player
Ádám Szamosi Budapest Honvéd brought him back into the first-team picture for 2026–2027, and the early return has been immediate: two goals in six matches since his reintegration. He had joined the Honvéd academy in February 2021, having already passed through Szigetszentmiklósi TK, Viadukt SE-Biatorbágy, Dunaharaszti MTK and Budai FC SE as a youth player.
His development away from Honvéd took him first to Diósgyőri VTK II for the 2023–2024 season, then to Kazincbarcikai SC, before a second loan spell back at Diósgyőri VTK II. He now wears the number 40 shirt.
Szamosi has also featured for Hungary at youth international level, representing the under-18 and under-19 sides, including appearances in qualifying for the UEFA Under-19 European Championship in 2025. Reports on his best position have varied, with some describing him as a left winger and others as a defensive midfielder.
