About the player
Sairinen's path into the game started at five, in the youth ranks of Mikkelin Palloilijat in his hometown of Ristiina. As a teenager he moved to Fuengirola in Spain to live with his mother, playing for UD Fuengirola Los Boliches before returning to Finland, where he made his senior debut in 2012 for MP's associate side, Mikkelin Kissat, in the fourth-tier Kolmonen.
From there his career took him well beyond Finland's borders. After a spell back at MP, he moved through EIF, then abroad to Gjøvik-Lyn in Norway, JK Tammeka in Estonia, back to Norway with Florø SK, on to FK Dainava in Lithuania, then Pargas IF, Panargiakos in Greece, and Lynx in Gibraltar. He returned to MP in 2024 to finish out the season there.
In February 2025 Sairinen joined Turku PS on a free transfer, signing a one-year deal that was later extended to run to the end of the 2026 season. He wears the number 4 shirt at TPS. The club finished second in the 2025 Ykkösliiga and won promotion to the Veikkausliiga, a campaign in which he played his part. The contract was mutually terminated in August 2026.
He has not been capped at senior international level for Finland, and his career to this point has not brought individual awards or major team titles.
