Alisson

Alisson broke into professional football through the Internacional academy, which he joined in 2002 before making his senior debut on 17 February 2013. Over four seasons there he won the Campeonato Gaúcho every year and passed 100 appearances, form that took him to AS Roma in 2016 for around €7.5 million, where he kept 17 clean sheets in his first season and 13 in his second.

His move to Liverpool in July 2018 set a world-record transfer fee for a goalkeeper. The impact was immediate: he took the Premier League Golden Glove in his first season with 21 clean sheets, then shared the award again in 2021–22. That debut campaign at Anfield also brought individual recognition rarely seen for a goalkeeper — he was named the inaugural Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper, won the Yashin Trophy and the IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper award, and was UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the Season, all in 2019.

With Brazil, Alisson made his senior debut on 14 October 2015 in a World Cup qualifier against Venezuela and has since earned 83 caps. The high point came at the 2019 Copa América, which Brazil won with Alisson named the tournament's best goalkeeper; two years later he reached the final again at the 2021 edition. He has represented Brazil at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, and has been part of the squad for the 2026 tournament as well.
