About the player
Alvin Nordin joined Fortuna FF as a boy before moving into the Helsingborgs IF academy at the age of twelve. The left-footed midfielder worked his way up through the club's youth ranks and made his senior debut in the Swedish Cup in August 2024.
His breakthrough came in the 2025 Superettan season, when he started nine of his eleven league appearances and contributed two goals and two assists. Across his time in Helsingborg's first team he made 40 senior appearances in total, scoring twice and setting up two further goals.
Alongside his club progress, Nordin has been capped repeatedly by Sweden at youth level, appearing for the under-17s, the under-19s and, most often, the under-18s.
In August 2026 he completed a move to FC Groningen in the Netherlands, a transfer worth around ten million Swedish kronor plus a sell-on clause for Helsingborgs IF. The deal was described as the club's largest sale in five years. At Groningen he took the number 16 shirt and signed a contract running until the middle of 2030.
