About the player
Antonio Yakoub's route to Superettan football began not at a big-name academy but at Assyriska FF in Södertälje, where his career started before a move into the lower divisions. In 2021 he joined Nordic United FC, spending two seasons in Sweden's third tier before Allsvenskan side IK Sirius picked him up in 2022.
Two years at Sirius preceded his switch to Örebro SK, confirmed on 29 January 2025. There is no record of Yakoub having represented Sweden at any youth or senior level, so his development so far has run entirely through club football, from the third division to Allsvenskan and now Superettan with Örebro.
