Balázs Dzsudzsák

Balázs Dzsudzsák made his debut for Debreceni VSC's senior side in 2004, the year the club also sent him out on loan to Létavértes SC. He stayed at Debrecen until January 2008, making 48 appearances and scoring 14 goals, and won three Hungarian League titles and three Hungarian Super Cups along the way. That record took him to PSV Eindhoven for €2.5 million, where he played until 2011, made 114 appearances, scored 45 goals and won the Eredivisie title and the Johan Cruijff Schaal.

From there his career moved through Russia, where Anzhi Makhachkala paid €14 million for him in 2011 before he switched to Dynamo Moscow for €19 million the following January. He spent three years in Moscow, reaching 89 appearances and 14 goals, and was a runner-up in the Russian Cup in 2012–13. Spells at Bursaspor, Al Wahda, Al-Ittihad Kalba and Al Ain followed. In September 2020 he returned to Debreceni VSC on a free transfer, and in his second spell there he has gone on to make 186 appearances and score 34 goals.

Dzsudzsák made his debut for Hungary on 2 June 2007 against Greece in Heraklion. He is the country's all-time record cap holder, with 109 appearances and 21 goals across an international career that ran from 2007 to 2022. He was named Hungarian Footballer of the Year by the MLSZ in 2010, and also won the nb1.hu Hungarian Golden Ball in 2010 and again in 2014.
