About the player
Bastian Allgeier's rise has followed a straight line through German football's lower divisions: two promotions in three years, both earned in the shirt of the same club. Loaned to SSV Ulm 1846 from Karlsruher SC for the 2021–22 season, he helped the side win the Regionalliga Südwest and go up to the 3. Liga. He joined Ulm permanently in 2023, and the following season he was one of the team's most productive players from the back, contributing seven goal involvements as Ulm won the 3. Liga title and moved up to the 2. Bundesliga.
Allgeier also reached a cup final with Ulm, losing to Stuttgarter Kickers on penalties in the Württemberg Cup during that same 2021–22 campaign.
In June 2025, with his contract at Ulm expiring, he moved to Hannover 96 on a free transfer, signing until 2027. He settled quickly and became a regular starter as the 2025–26 season got under way.
Before his move to Karlsruher SC's academy, Allgeier began playing at FV Gamshurst, staying there until 2011. He turned professional with Karlsruher in June 2021, though his path to regular first-team football came through the loan spell and subsequent permanent switch to Ulm rather than at the club that developed him.
