Ebenezer Ofori

He spent three years there, making 81 league appearances and scoring four goals, and it was that spell that opened the door to a January 2017 move to VfB Stuttgart . His time in Germany brought limited game time, with ten league appearances split between the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga plus one DFB-Pokal outing, so Stuttgart loaned him to New York City FC for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. That loan proved his most productive spell in front of goal, with 47 appearances and three goals in Major League Soccer.

Ofori returned to AIK in 2020 for a second stint that ran to 2022, before Danish club Vejle Boldklub took him on loan in January of that year and then signed him permanently that June. He stayed in Denmark until December 2024, making 49 league appearances. From there his career took him further afield still, to FK Žalgiris in Lithuania and, in February 2026, to Iraqi side Al-Mosul on a free transfer, a spell that lasted only until July.

On 22 July 2026, Ofori signed for FC Atyrau as a free agent, reuniting with Vladimir Cheburin , on a contract running to the end of the year. He brings experience from leagues in Sweden, Germany, the United States, Denmark, Lithuania and Iraq to Kazakhstan.
