About the player
Florian Micheler grew up in the Innsbruck football scene, moving from SV Aldrans through FC Wacker Innsbruck and into the AKA Tirol academy before Hoffenheim brought him into their youth setup in 2021. He worked his way up the ranks there, becoming a key player for the club's U19 side during the 2023–24 season, and was promoted to the senior squad and Hoffenheim II in 2024. His first-team debut followed that August, with appearances in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Europa League.
With Hoffenheim II, Micheler was part of the side that won the Regionalliga Südwest title in 2024–25, securing promotion to the 3. Liga. Last July he moved to Arminia Bielefeld on loan for the 2025–26 season, a switch intended to give him regular football in the 2. Bundesliga. The move did not work out as planned: he made four appearances before the loan was cut short in December due to a lack of playing time, and he returned to Hoffenheim in January.
Micheler has represented Austria across the U17, U18, U19 and U21 age groups, tracking his progress through the domestic system alongside his club career. He is now back with Hoffenheim II as he looks to force his way into contention at senior level.
